Highlights:

  • In gym we did skipping. In the first round, Ms. Wolsey's class did tricks and Ms. Maguire's class tried to skip as long as they could. Then both groups switched. 
  • In math we talked about how addition can help us to answer subtraction questions. For example, 13-4=9 and 9+4=13
  • This morning we did a winter walk. We noticed soft snow and glittery snow on the trees that looked like diamonds. 
  • We tried use lots of adjectives in our writing about our snow walk.

Tuesday January 30

Highlights: In social studies we drew a picture of the Nunavut flag. We also learned about the "Toonik Festival" that takes place in Iqaluit. We wrote different activities that they do at this festival to celebrate the Inuit culture. Ask me about one of the activities!  In math we learned about all the ways we can make 10. Ask me the answer to these questions: 6 + ____ = and 8 + ____ = Heggerty  In gym we played 4 corners and basketball Reminders: You can view your report cards online today!
