Highlights:
  • In art we made our valentines day bags!
  • In writing we wrote about how we would catch a dragon 
  • In math we learned how to stack 2 digit numbers 
  • In literacy centres we had a new centre. We had to color the different sounds in words and it made a dragon! 
  • We watched a video of the dragon dance and lion dance for Chinese New Year!
  • Ms Maguire's class had music. We listened to music and then colored the different sounds 
  • Ms Wolsey's class made a race to 100 math game and guess that number 

Reminders:
No school on Thursday, Friday, and Monday
Wear pink or red tomorrow to celebrate Valentine's Day!

Tuesday January 30

Highlights: In social studies we drew a picture of the Nunavut flag. We also learned about the "Toonik Festival" that takes place in Iqaluit. We wrote different activities that they do at this festival to celebrate the Inuit culture. Ask me about one of the activities!  In math we learned about all the ways we can make 10. Ask me the answer to these questions: 6 + ____ = and 8 + ____ = Heggerty  In gym we played 4 corners and basketball Reminders: You can view your report cards online today!
