Highlights: 
  • Social studies. We learned about what community is, and we talked about the communities that students at our school live in 
  • Science experiment. Ask me what we did! 
  • Writing birthday cards to Mr Newton. We will bring them to him tomorrow! 
  • Ms Maguire’s class had music. Ask me what we did! 
  • Skip counting by 25’s in Math 
  • Literacy Centres. Ask me what centre I did! 
  • Learning about how some of our classmates celebrate Diwali 
Reminders:
  • Book a time for parent teacher conferences next Thursday November 24 evening and Friday November 24 morning 
  • Ask your family what community you live in, and what your favorite thing to do in your community is.

Highlights: In social studies we drew a picture of the Nunavut flag. We also learned about the "Toonik Festival" that takes place in Iqaluit. We wrote different activities that they do at this festival to celebrate the Inuit culture. Ask me about one of the activities!  In math we learned about all the ways we can make 10. Ask me the answer to these questions: 6 + ____ = and 8 + ____ = Heggerty  In gym we played 4 corners and basketball Reminders: You can view your report cards online today!
